4 DAYS SAFARI TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
Explore the true African wilderness in the rugged, semi-arid valleys of Kidepo National Park. It is Uganda’s second largest and most remote park, but the stunning beauty of this faultless wilderness is very impressive. The park has diverse wildlife and different bird species for the visiting birders. It contains a bird list of over 475 species, a total second to only queen Elizabeth national park. Also putting in mind the unique culture of the host community of the Karamajong with their architecture of “Manyatta”.
Day 1: Transfer to Kampala via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary
You will be picked up by our guide at 7:30 am from Kampala beginning with a drive to the northwest of the Central district of Kampala. You will be able to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola for the game walking safari with guide experienced Ranger and you also enjoy other wildlife such as Elephants and monkeys. Later, you will head to Kabalega Resort for lunch before embarking on the journey to Fort Patiko which is also known as the Bakers Fort. This historical site was a military fort that was built by Samuel Baker in 1872. The Fort is enclosed by a 16feet wide and 25 feet deep trench dug by slaves on orders of the Arabs to avoid the escape of captives. A lot more of the heartbreaking and interesting history shall be told while on site. From here you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Visit the Aruu falls and later transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park.
After early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on your journey to Kidepo valley National Park through the plains of Pader. Being the land of nomadic pastoralists, you can always have a glance at the large herds of cattle and the small huts (Manyattas) which make up the people’s homesteads. You will have a stopover at Aruu Falls to view the breathtaking falls. After driving to Kidepo Valley National Park in the afternoon, check-in and have a late lunch at the lodge. Later in the evening, you will have a guided walk in Karenga and visit the Karamojong homestead settings, known as the Manyattas. You will be invited to the cultural performances before heading back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park and Afternoon at leisure
Rising to the sounds of mother nature, you will have an early morning breakfast and head for a morning game drive in the true African wilderness along the Kanangorok hot springs which has a variety of wildlife such as the Elephants, Antelopes, buffaloes and Giraffes and you are likely to spot lions, cheetahs and leopards as well. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax to put off the fatigues to the exhausting yet interesting game drive. You can also choose to take part in the in-house hotel activities like swimming, playing indoor activities, gyming, and steam bath among others.

Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, have a morning game drive to search for Kidepo’s exclusive wildlife that you are likely to have missed on the previous game drive such as ostriches, hartebeest, roan antelopes and many woodland birds. Exit the park and drive to town where you will have lunch and later embark on the journey to Kampala and be dropped off at your point of choice.
