This is at no extra cost. You only pay for the trekking permits and receive them while picking up/receiving the car.

Permits for gorillas or chimpanzees act as authorization for the search of the primates in the National parks. Without a trekking permit, you will not be authorized to go for gorilla trekking or chimpanzee tracking.

IMPORTANT; The number of permits available per month is minimal, as their demand is very high throughout the year. Therefore, visitors are advised to book early and reserve their permits on any day expedient to them depending on their travel program.

Rwanda Permits

Rwanda gorilla permits are administered and sold by Rwanda Development Board, while Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Permits are administered and sold by Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Costs of Gorilla Permits

US$1500 for Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda at Volcanoes National Park.

US$1500 for Gorilla Habituation Experience in Uganda.

US$700 for Gorilla trekking in Uganda at Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Payment for Gorilla Permits

Money for gorilla permits can be paid online by either using a credit card or through a bank wire transfer. Once we receive your payment for the gorilla permits, you will receive a receipt from us after the payment. We will proceed with your permit reservation with the details above and send you a confirmation email attached with an image of your gorilla reservations.
