The trip follows the following route from Kigali to the destination in Zambia: Kigali, Akagera national park, volcanoes national park, Lake kivu, Kibuye, Nyungwe national park, Rusizi National Park, Gitega city, Karela falls, Lake Tanganyika, Gombe drive National Park, Katavi National Park, Tunduma city, Livingstone falls, Lusaka city, Victoria falls, Kyobe National Park

Day 1 to Day 2: Pick up and Kigali city tour

After arrival at Kigali international airport, the car will be delivered to you in case of self-drive and in case of car hire with a driver/guide, your driver will be there to take you to your hotel/lodge or start your city tour depending at your time of arrival. The following day you will proceed with the city tour where you will visit places like Natural History Museum, Presidential Museum, Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, Campaign against Genocide Museum, Kimironko Market and Lake Nyarutarama after you transfer to Akagera

Day 3 to Day 5: Akagera National Park

At Akagera National Park you shall do game drive where you are likely see. The park is ideal for the tourist who are interested in wildlife especially the big five of Africa. You will also be able to go for a boat trip at Lake Ihema. We shall continue with birding activity where you will see a variety of bird species that call pack home. We shall sign off with fishing activity at Lake shakani with the support of the fishing guide. The after we shall transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 6 to Day 8: Volcanoes National Park

Then we shall move to volcanoes national park for the trekking of the famous endangered mountain gorillas. We shall proceed and trek the other endangered golden monkey that also call the park home. The final activity you will do the great Volcanoes National Park is trekking the Diana Fossil tomb to pay the respect to the famous wildlife conservative who dedicated the whole of her life in protecting gorillas from getting extinct. After here, we shall continue to Lake Kivu

Day 9 to Day 11: Lake Kivu

with the guidance of kayak leader, you will go Kayaking and Water Sports at lake Kivu where you will engage with local fishermen, visit the hot springs as you also spot different wildlife and breathtaking landscape. Proceed with the boat cruise before going for sport fishing with an experienced guide on sport fishing. The general rule is catch and release, but you are allowed to go with one fish for your dinner. The next stop is Kibuye

Day 12: Kibuye

We shall continue to the eastern shore of Lake Kivu to Kibuye city where we shall spend a day while engaging in Swimming in the Bilharzia free freshwater lake, Birding and finish with hiking and cycling before heading to Nyungwe National Park

Day 13 to Day 15: Nyungwe National Park

At Nyungwe National Park, we shall go for chimpanzee trekking as the park is home for the two habituated chimpanzee families with one family made up of over 80 chimpanzees. You will also be able to see black and white monkey during the Natural Walk in the park. Continue to Tropical waterfall viewing and end with canopy walk that will give you the arial view of the Nyungwe forest. After here, we shall cross over to Burundi

Day 16 to Day 18: Rusizi National Park

At Rusizi National Park we shall start off our early morning with the game drive where we shall sport different animals like leopard and elephant, during the game drive even the birds will be spotted. Whatever missed during the game drive will be observed at the natural walk where you will be escorted by both the guide and armed ranger to ensure your safety and widening of your knowledge about whatever you will meet. The park is surrounded by river Rusinzi and Lake Tanganyika which makes a perfect place for the boat cruise and sport fishing therefore you won’t miss these two water activities.

Day 19: Gitega city

Gitega city formerly known as Kitega city is the political capital city of Burundi. At the city, we shall visit Gishora Drum Sanctuary to understand the drum history of Burundi, then witness National Museum of Gitega for cultural understanding of Burundi. We end the day at Gitega Cathedral the biggest church in Burundi.

Day 20: Karela falls

Enjoy the breathtaking view of Karela falls just outside the capital city of Burundi with a beautiful breathtaking greener scenery. You are encouraged to hire a local guide to improve your guide experience. Transfer to Lake Tanganyika

Day 21: Lake Tanganyika

You shall spend one day to Lake Tanganyika where you will do guided fishing, diving, swimming and boating while enjoying the breathtaking view of the waters and the land scape of the lake before extending our trip to Gombe

Day 22 to Day 24: Gombe National Park

Learn how to do pottery, fabrics, grass hats and baskets using traditional techniques and local materials. Other activities that you will do at Gombe National Park include butterfly grazing, filming, cultural encounter at Mwamgongo villages. After all that we shall go to Katavi

Day 25 to Day 27: Katavi national park

Though not as popular as other Tanzanian national park, Katavi national park is the definition of the true virgin beauty. Defined by the stanning landscape, savanna woodland and savanna grassland. The park will perfect for the game drive where you will encounter different animals including cape buffalo, zebra, elephant, leopard, lion among others. You will also spot different bird species before going for boat cruise at lake chada. We shall continue to Tanduma city

Day 28: Tunduma city

Go to Tunduma cultural heritage centre to explore and learn about the rich culture history of the local people of the city. After the cultural visit, you shall visit the Nguvu falls to take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Continue to the Livingstone falls

Day 29 to Day 30: Livingstone falls

Guided tour of Livingstone falls is the highlight of all tourists that come to Livingstone falls and is a must do activity. You will enjoy the breathtaking view that the falls creates and appreciate the creativity of the lord. After our main event, you will go for whitewater rafting at zambezi river and end the Congo visit with the community to the local people

Day 31 to Day 32: Lusaka city

We start the day with the morning game drive at Lusaka National Park where we shall sport various wildlife, birds and primates. We shall continue to Sunday craft market where you will be able to buy some crafts to support the community while observing how the locals go about their business. Continue to Kabwata cultural village for deep understanding of rich history of Zambian people. Then transfer to Victoria falls

Day 33 to Day 38: Victoria falls

The highlight of the Victoria fall visit is the viewing of the falls themselves that will offer you a breathtaking view on the waterfalls. You will continue the guided walk at Victoria fall bridge. you also do a boat cruise on the river to observe different wildlife while enjoying the water cool weather, have a special experience of the white water rafting before ending the Victoria falls adventure with Swimming in Devil’s pool which is an infinity pools at Victoria falls. Drive to kyobe National Park

Day 39 to Day 42: Chobe National Park

Found in Botswana, Chobe National Park will lead us to meet different bird species at River Chobe, which is the prefect spot for bird enthusiasts, we shall do boat safari to meet the aquatic lives that lives in waterbodies near the park then proceed with land safari to meet different animals and end the safari by discovering the local treasure at Kasane market pale
